Suggestion 1: Open internet explorer and click on tools and select internet options once there click on security tab and click on the custom level button once this pops up scroll down to where it says scripting and make sure following enable:
- Active scripting
- Allow paste operations via script
- Scripting on Java applets.
Restart Yahoo! Messenger see if this solves the issue.
Suggestion 2: Make sure you have the latest flash installed since yahoo uses flash for many things now which u can download and install from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
Suggestion 3: If you have firewall such as norton's or Zone Alarm disable it then restart messenger and see if text works if it does you will have to learn how to configure your firewall!
Suggestion 4: Make sure you have sun java installed on your PC you can install java from http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
Suggestion 5: If people can still not see your text get them to make sure they have you added to there friends list cause Yahoo! Messenger 10 will sometimes not display someone's text unless they have that person added to there list!
Suggestion 6: If all else false try installing microsoft's windows script 5.6 for XP and 2000 by clicking here. |
