If all of a sudden you find that you cannot see text in the room or you can only see text from friends or people on your safe then you most likely turned on the ignore messages from strangers option to disable this or check to make sure u don't have this option on do the following:
- From the menu at the top click on "Messenger" then "Preferences".
- Click on "Chat"
- Un-check "Ignore chat messages from strangers".
- Click "Apply".
